Gift Shops
Carvings and Love Sticks are a Trukese specialty and some shopping for these unique crafts shouldn’t be missed. Look also for weaving and wall mats, some great dive T-shirts, post cards and books in the various stores.
At Fefan, craftsmen carve Chuukese lovesticks - slender, dagger-shaped wooden rods carved on each side, which are sold in handfuls to tourists with an eye for exotic souvenirs.
